Seasonic is one of the those power supply makers delivering high quality on a constant basis. The current PRIME series features 80Plus Titanium level efficiency, which is possible due to the use of a complex design and high-end components. With the PRIME Ultra series, Seasonic refreshes the lineup with adding more 80Plus Titanium, Platinum and Gold certified units. Like with the previous units, Seasonic offers their extra long 12 year warranty.



The PRIME Ultra series lineup features fully modular cable management, active PFC, high-end Japanese capacitors as well as all the usual protections that you can find on high-end models. The lineup is cooled by a new 135mm bottom placed fan, which runs passive up to a certain load level. These PSUs come with 550W, 650W, 750W, 850W and 1'000W of output power. Most of the models are available with Titanium, Platinum and Gold efficiency.

With the new series Seasonic also offers additional goodies like a PSU tester and SATA 3.3 adapters. The PSU tester can be used to do a quick check on the power supply, which could come in hand if your system is not working. With this accessory you can verify your unit in different steps. The SATA 3.3 adapter is necessary if you want use the upcoming high-capacity HDDs.

So far Seasonic has not revealed details on pricing and availability regarding their PRIME Ultra power supplies but we believe they will cost about the same as the current comparable models.
