Compatible with custom cards
A few months ago, during Computex 2016, Phanteks has first shown their upcoming water cooling products. During the last month, they’ve introduced a waterblock for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition graphics card and today there are water blocks for the ASUS GTX 1080 Ti Strix (compatible with ASUS STRIX’s original backplate) and GIGABYTE GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC.
In the case of the baseplate the G1080 Founders Edition water block from Phanteks is using nickel-plated copper. On top of that there is a cover made from acrylic glass with sandblasted sheet metal bezels. The Glacier Series water blocks feature RGB LED lighting which is compatible with ASUS Aura Sync and MSI Mystic Light Sync.
If you’re thinking about buying one of these coolers you’ll have to be patient until later this month. By then two versions of the Phanteks Glacier G1080 Ti are going to be available. One of them will have a “mirrored chrome” and the other “satin black” finish. The price for both models is set to €159,90.
