AOC has expanded its monitor lineup with a new monitor featuring a 40-inch VA panel and 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution. The C4008VU8 features 10-bit color depth and with the VA panel is suitable for graphic designers, video or photo editors. Furthermore the monitor features thin bezels and a generally sleek design.


As we already mentioned the C4008VU8 monitor has been equipped with a 40-inch panel offering 3840 x 2160 Pixel resolution and a 1800R curve. There is one HDMI 1.4a port, one HDMI 2.0 connector and two DisplayPort 1.2a inlets. Furthermore there are four USB 3.0 ports and one of them can be used for fast charging. The display is based on an VA panel with 300 cd/m2 brightness and 5ms response time (GTG). AOC is marketing this display as a value professional monitor and for that purpose you will not find AMD FreeSync technology or any other gaming feature.

Unfortunately there is no fully adjustable stand and the C4008VU8 is also not compatible with VESA mountings. Checking out the pictures and specifications this looks like a pretty decent display, especially if you don't want to spend too much money for a semi-professional monitor.

So far AOC has not revealed any details on availability of the C4008VU8 but according to the manufacturer, the MSRP is $899.99.
