EVGA releases specifications of their GTX 1080 Ti

Small differences in clock speeds

A few days ago, EVGA has shown three custom GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards. The new pixel accelerators include the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition. While there are still no details on the availability, there is more information about the clock speeds.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 graphics card feature a dual-fan cooler with the so called iCX Technology, while the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 will be based on a triple-fan design. All models come with a heat sink that packs a dense aluminum fin stack and several heatpipes. The metal shroud has received a grey paint job on two models, while the "Black Edition" is apparently black. Looking at the pictures it’s not clear if all the cards will feature backplates or not. Only in the case of the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 we’re sure that the back side is going to be covered with a nice backplate.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition will come with the same factory. Looking at the lighting side of things, only one of the cards will feature RGB illumination. At the moment the EVGA lineup includes three models but we are quite confident that we’re soon going to a Classified or or even a K|NGP|N edition card.

While the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition works at 1480MHz/1582MHz Core/Boost frequencies, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 comes with a decent factory overclock running at 1569MHz/1683MHz Core/Boost frequencies. The other two models feature the exact same frequency and working at 1556MHz/1670MHz Core/Boost. Since the latest enthusiast grade EVGA components have been equipped with an armada of LEDs for lighting, these cards are no different and come with LEDs on both sides.

Although all these new cards should become available during May, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 and the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 are already listed on Geizhals with a price of 1009€.
