Rig of the Day - ROG Base

Modder Crow

Today we have another great looking build from Modder Crow to show to you. In the past we’ve shared several of his builds and as you might remember he’s really taking the modding part to the extreme.

Modder Crow is a modder from Thailand and in our gallery you can find a few other rigs from him. Meanwhile he has finished yet another project that goes by the name "ROG Base" and is based on a Thermaltake Core X5 enclosure. Since Modder Crow usually creates extreme systems with extensive water cooling loops and high-end components, it's no surprise that this rig falls into the same category.

Looking at the finished project we wouldn’t have guessed that the basis for this was a Core X5 case from Thermaltake. Apparently the chassis has been heavily modified, keeping only its lower part. Furthermore he added a skeleton chassis which reminds us of a motorbike. On the inside we find a Skylake based setup, with an Intel Core i7-6700K CPU sitting on an ASUS Maximus VIII Formula motherboard. Apart from that there is Avexir Raiden memory and two ASUS STRIX GTX 1070 graphics cards are in charge of delivering plenty of frame per seconds.

Last but not least we find a complex water cooling setup including the CPU and both graphics cards. All the water cooling components come from Thermaltake. With ROG Base, Modder Crow is participating in the "2016 Thermaltake CaseMod Invitational Seasons 2" event and you can find the vote for him under the following link.
