Today appears to be a day on which a ton of information about AMD’s upcoming Ryzen CPUs leaks into the internet. After new speculation on the lineup and the official launch date we’ve come across actual model names and clock speeds.
According to a report on zolkorn.com AMD’s full portfolio of Ryzen CPUs will include the lines SR3, SR5 and SR7 and they are to directly compete with Intel’s Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 lineup. Apart from that the guys over WCCFTech have come across specific models and their clock speeds.
First of all there is the "ZD3406BAM88F4_38/34_Y" chip, which is supposed to be an eight core model with SMT enabled offering 16 threads. The base clock speed of this chip should be 3.4 GHz with and the boost clock 3.8 GHz. Furthermore there are 16MB of L3 cache and 4MB of L2 cache.
Next there are two more octa core chips with the codenames "1D3601A2M88F3_39/36_N" and "ZD3601BAM88F4_40/36_Y". While the first was used during the demo show at CES, the second one might clock a little bit higher. According to the codename, the "ZD3601BAM88F4_40/36_Y" should offer a base clock speeds of 3.6 GHz and a boost clock of 4.0 GHz.
AMD might also have a six core model ready which goes by the name "ZD3301BBM6IF4_37/33_Y" and this particular model should feature a base clock of 3.3 GHz and a boost clock of 3.7 GHz.
This would certainly confirm our theory that AMD will come up with an octa, a hexa as well as a quad core chip and on top of that it’s very interesting to see the clock speeds. Apparently we’re becoming increasingly curious about what those chips are really going to be capable of.
