Microsoft announces Windows 10 VR system requirements

Not too bad

Microsoft already announced their Windows 10 VR headset series which is expected to launch at US $299 and won't require any tracking system and today, the company has released system requirements for those headsets.

With partners like ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP and Lenovo, Microsoft's Windows 10 VR headsets will surely have an easy launch and be quite popular but will target a different part of the market, like creativity, productivity and media, rather than high-end gaming like the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, and this is what the system requirements are pretty much confirming.

According to a report from The Verge, you'll need a CPU with at least four threads, so some dual-core CPUs will work, a GPU with support for DirectX 12, 4GB of RAM, a single USB 3.0 port and some free disk space.

The system requirements were revealed in the "Windows Holographic First Run" application that test the system to ensure that it will be compatible with HoloLens AR and VR experiences.

As revealed earlier, Microsoft's Windows 10 VR headsets will launch sometime next year with a price starting at US $299. Hopefully, we will hear more about it during CES 2017 in January.
