Nvidia has issued an official statement regarding telemetry that was added to their recent GPU drivers, saying that these only collect crash and bug reports as well as system information.
Although the company has not announce that it will be adding telemetry to their drivers and was pretty much caught red handed, it at least provided a timely official statement saying that it is now included with the drivers and that the application only collects crash reports, bug reports and general system data.
Nvidia also noted that Geforce Experience had the same thing from its 1.0 version with the change that Geforce Experience collects data in real-time.
Nvidia was key to note that it does not share any personally identifiable information collected by Geforce Experience outside the company and that it may share aggregate-level data with select partners but no user-level data.
Of course, earlier reports also provided a way to disable the telemetry with either some software or via Windows startup and registry entries.
