Mafia 3 locked at 30 FPS on the PC

Update coming soon

As you already know, 2K Games' Mafia 3 has launched today and it appears that it suffers from a bad case of console porting as the game is locked at 30 FPS on the PC, but thankfully, the update that will fix this issue is coming soon.

The PC gaming community has been quite furious to find out that Mafia 3 is locked at 30 FPS on PC as while this might work on consoles, it is simply unforgivable that it runs at that framerate on a much powerful platform as the PC.

Thankfully, the developer behind Mafia 3, Hangar 13, has issued a short statement saying that they are currently working on an update that will allow PC gamers to play the game at higher framerates.

The patch in question is already up and running running and will add an option to enabled 30 FPS, 60 FPS lock or completely unlock framerates and it will also include a couple of other improvements.

The developer expects the patch to launch during this weekend and they already said that there will be further post-launch improvements on the PC.
