Kingpin and TiN push GTX 1080 to 2835MHz

A sign of things to come

We spotted a rather interesting screenshot over at EVGA's Facebook page showing an overclocked GTX 1080 that is apparently in the hands of Vince "Kinpin" Lucido and that has been pushed to rather impressive 2835MHz for GPU.

It appears that Vince "Kingpin" Lucido and Illya “TiN” Tsemenko are currently playing with EVGA's GTX 1080 and has managed to hit a stable overclock of 2835MHz for the GPU. Both the graphics card and the CPU are cooled by LN2 and Intel Core i7-6950X has been pushed to 5241.60MHz.

It appears that the team is preparing to run some 3DMark benchmarks so hopefully we will see those soon.

EVGA did not reveal more details so we will have to wait for some official results but for now it appears that we might see some records broken.
