EK Water Blocks has introduced its newest EK-SPC Series of pump reservoir combo units with the first EK-XRES 100 SPC-60 MX PWM unit that has debuted with the earlier announced Slim Series liquid cooling kit.
Now available as a standalone product, the EK-XRES 100 SPC-60 MX PWM (incl. pump) is a more value oriented liquid cooling pump reservoir combo unit that should offer great hydraulic performance at a good price point.
The core unit of the EK-XRES 100 SPC-60 MX PWM (incl. pump) is the EK-SPC 60 water pump that uses only a 4-pin PWM header for operation, which means it does not need additional power from Molex connector while the PWM control allows users to set automatic pump speed regulation depending on your CPU temperature.
The maximum pressure of the EK-SPC 60 is set at 3.2m with a maximum flow of 450 L/h. The pump unit is also very compact and even with the reservoir combo, it can be used in a smaller builds with mini-ITX cases.
The reservoir unit that comes with the EK-XRES 100 SPC-60 MX PWM series combo unit, comes with pre-installed with anti-cyclone insert for preventing any vortex issues and features two G1/4 threaded ports, of which one is an inlet (in the reservoir) and one is an outlet (from the pump). The bottom part also includes dampening rubber mounting system.
The reservoir tube is made of acrylic material while the rest of the pump/reservoir body is made from injection molded ABS material.
According to EKWB, the XRES SPC MX reservoir can be upgraded with longer reservoir cylinder tubes, used by EK-RES X3 series reservoirs.
The EK-XRES 100 SPC-60 MX PWM (incl. pump) should already be available for purchase via EK Webshop and its Partner Reseller Network with a suggested retail price of €75,95.
