AMD releases Radeon Software 16.4.1 drivers

One to have for Quantum Break

AMD has released its newest Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.1 drivers which brings all the optimizations for the new Quantum Break game, provides official support for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive and brings a couple of other improvements.

According to the release notes, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.1 drivers are primarily Game Ready drivers for the new Quantum Break game, featuring all the optimizations and bringing better performance of up to 35 percent on Radeon R9 Fury X graphics card.

In addition to the Quantum Break optimizations, the new drivers also resolves fram rate capping issues seen in some DirectX 12 applications as well as fixed issue with Hitman flickering when played in DirectX 11 mode with high shadow settings.

The new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.1 drivers also bring official support for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive virtual reality headsets.

There are still couple of known issues with games like XCOM 2, The Division and Need for Speed as well as AMD Gaming Evolved and Radeon Settings.

As always, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.1 drivers supports all the graphics cards since Radeon HD 7700/HD 7900 series, including the recently released Radeon Pro Duo, and is available for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 OS in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
