ASUS announces new VivoMini VC65 mini PC

Modular design for 4x2.5 HDD support

ASUS has announced its new VivoMini VC65 mini PC that, thanks to its modular design, can support up to four 2.5-inch HDD/SSD devices and pack a decent punch with Intel's 6th generation Core T series CPU.

To be available in three different versions, with various modular support for 2.5-inch HDDs/SDDs, optical drive or RAID support, the VivoMini VC65 will be powered by Intel's 6th generation Core Skylake CPUs, the Core i5-6400T or the Core i3-6100T CPU, depending on the SKU. It also supports up to 16GB of DDR3L-1600 memory in two SO-DIMM slots and features Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports and all the other features you would expect from a mini PC.

What makes the new VivoMini different from the rest of the lineup is its modular design as it will be available with dual-storage option, dual-storage with optical drive or quad-storage options, as well as the special VivoMini VC65R version with support for RAID.

Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date but hopefully we will see the new VivoMini VC65 in retail/e-tail soon.
