Robert Space Industries (RSI) has announced a couple of news regarding its Star Citizen game including a "Free Fly" week that will allow new users to try out the game for free as well as a new 2.1.2 Patch and some other details.
In a rather lengthy blog update, RSI has announced that Star Citizen Alpha will be free to try out during this week allowing users that still haven't pledged or try it to give it a go. The pack will include the Star Citizen Alpha 2.1.2, also known as Crusader, Arena Commander and Social Module of the game.
In addition to the Free Fly week, RSI also announced the new Star Citizen 2.1 Patch that fixes plenty of bugs and you can check out the full release notes via link below.
RSI has already announced that Squadron 42 and Star Citizen will be split into two games and this will happen on Valentine's day, February 14th. The Squadron 42 will be available as a standalone game or an optional add-on for Star Citizen. In case you missed it earlier, Squadron 42 is a single-player module set in Star Citizen universe with some rather impressive cast.
RSI's Star Citizen has recently hit its 100 million mark and currently stands at just over 107 million with 1,206,382 backers. While we still do not have a precise release date, RSI has earlier noted that the game should be released sometime this year.
