According to the latest report, it appears that AMD's Zen CPU core testing has been successful and that the chip meets all expectations with no significant bottlenecks. If true, this is definitely a good news for AMD.

According to a report coming from Wccftech.com, AMD design engineers that maintained a goal for AMD's upcoming next-generation Zen architecture and recent testing shows that the new architecture has "met all expectation" with no "significant bottlenecks."

Recent AIDA64 update already included Zen-based Summit Ridge and Raven Ridge processors and if proven true, this means that AMD has a good chip on their hands and it could not come at a better time as the company needs a solid break.

Earlier reports suggest that AMD's Zen CPU architecture could offer a 40 percent Instruction Per Clock improvement compared to the previously available Excavator CPU cores. Based on the new FinFET manufacturing process, new high-bandwidth, low latency cache system and support for Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT), AMD Zen architecture certainly sounds good on paper and hopefully it will be as good in real world testing as soon as it launches next year.

During its latest financial call, AMD has confirmed that Zen architecture will be a part of AMD's 2016 enthusiast CPU lineup, which means that we will see AMD Zen-based FX-series Summit Ridge CPUs next year, which will be based on AMD's new AM4 socket with support for DDR4 memory.

Of course, take these rumors with a grain of salt as these information have not been officially denied or confirmed by AMD.
