Gigabyte unveils new Z170X-Gaming 6 motherboard

Gigabyte has unveiled yet another motherboard that will be based on Intel's new LGA1151 socket and Z170 Express chipset and be a part of Gigabyte's G1.Gaming series, the Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 6 motherboard.

Designed and targeting premium gaming market, the new Z170X-Gaming 6 motherboard is based on a standard ATX form-factor and has a 11-phase CPU VRM powered by 24-pin ATX and an 8-pin EPS power connectors. It also features two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (x16 or x8/x8), single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 (working at x4) and four PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots.

As far as the storage is concerned, the Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 6 motherboard has two 32Gb/s M.2 slots, three 16Gbps SATA-Express ports shared among six SATA 6Gbps ports. The rest of the specifications include two USB 3.1 ports, type-C and type-A, eight USB 3.0 ports and plenty of USB 2.0/1.1 ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, based on Intel and Killer E2201 chips, 7.1-channel 115dBA audio with AMP-UP, user-replaceable OPAMP, electrolytic capacitors and gold-plated jacks as well as HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date for the new Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 6 motherboard but it should show up in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
