YouTube gets a facelift with HTML5

New HTML5 desktop player available for everyone

After just a few months of testing, Google's YouTube has got a neat facelift and is now running on HTML5.

Making it more than just a minor touch-up facelift, Google has now released new HTML5 running Youtube to everyone.

The bottom control bar is now transparent and disappears a few seconds after you stop moving your mouse over it, the icons are larger, the loading bar is thinner and we certainly like the new animations with "quality" and "subtitle" menus.

The Youtube player just got better, especially on the visual side.
