G.Skill has quite a day as the company has announced its two new high-performance memory series, the Trident Z and Ripjaws V series, as well as the first retail DDR4 memory kit that breaks the 4000MHz barrier.
Both new memory series will have an updated performance specifications designed for the upcoming Intel 6th generation Core Skylake CPUs and Intel Z170 Express chipset motherboards and offer some rather impressive specifications, especially the new Trident Z series.
The new Trident Z DDR4 memory series is the successor of G.Skill's well known high-end Trident memory series and will be both designed and tested for the next-generation Intel Skylake-S desktop CPUs. The Trident Z is also one of the first memory series kits available in retail that will break the 4000MHz mark, thanks to high-end Samsung IC memory chips.
The new Trident-Z features a single-piece design that should allow better heat dissipation from the heatspreader to the cooling fin and uses a dual-color scheme. The Trident-Z will be available in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB kits and range from 2800MHz all the way to 4000MHz, with 8GB (4GBx2) 3800MHz and 4000MHz kits being the top offer.
The new G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 memory series will be the newest member of G.Skill's classic performance Ripjaws memory series and will be available in five color schemes, Blazing Red, Steel Blue, Radiant Silver, Gunmetal Gray, and Classic Black. It will be available in various capacities ranging from 8GB to 64GB with frequency ranging from 2133MHz up to 3733MHz.
The Ripjaws V memory series will also use selected Samsung IC memory chips and is designed and rated for the use with the new Intel Skylake platform.
You can check out the full list of specifications below. Unfortunately, G.Skill did not reveal any details regarding th availability date or the price but these should be available as soon as Intel launches its new Skylake-S CPUs and Z170 Express chipset motherboards on August 5th.
