Back in November last year be quiet! introduced its first PC case. Numerous reviews, as well as ours, have shown, that the German company developed a convincing product. Meanwhile be quiet! has been working on a windowed version of this case and again, they've given it quite some though to come up with a special noise insulation.

The window is made from double-glazued polycarbonate, which allows for good noise insulation. Basically the air inbetween the two ploycarbonate panels helps with noise reduction. Apart from that the window sits in a decoupled rubber insert. Meanwhile the Silent Base 800 is available in three different colors, which are black/black, black/orange and black/silver. This allows to build systems where the color of the cases matches the color scheme of your components.

Included in the delivery there are two pre-installed Pure Wings 2 fans, which operate silently. In combination with thick noise insulation pads, whisper quite operation is the result, which we actually confirmed in our review. Installing your hardware in this case, happens tool-less and therfore easily. Should you wish to increase the airflow, there two more slots for 140mm fans in the top and an addtional 140mm fan can be mounted in the bottom. There is also space for radiators and the front panel offers two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 and two 3.5mm jacks.

Looking for prices the MSRP is 149.90 Euro / 149.90 USD. In the UK prices are 119 GBP. The side panel is going to be avialable as of August for 29.90 Euro / 29.90 USD or 24.99 GBP.
