During its special press event, ASUS showcased its line of premium Geforce GTX 980 Ti graphics cards which include the ROG branded GTX 980 Ti Matrix, 20th Anniversary Gold Edition and hybrid-cooled GTX 980 Ti Poseidon Platinum.
The most interesting and the top of the line is, of course, the GTX 980 Ti Poseidon Platinum, which comes with ASUS' DirectCU H20 cooler which has a dual-fan air-cooler but also comes with an option to hook it up to existing liquid cooling system. The GTX 980 Poseidon Platinum will work at 1114MHz base GPU clock, 1203MHz GPU Boost clock while memory will work at 7.0GHz.
In addition to the GTX 980 Ti STRIX, which is probably the fastest single-GPU graphics card on the market, at least judging from earlier reviews and comes with the recently unveiled DirectCU III cooler, ASUS also revealed the ASUS ROG GTX 980 Ti Matrix graphics card. It comes with two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors, a dual-slot dual-fan DirectCU II cooler. While we still do not have precise clocks, ASUS noted to expect over 20 percent factory-overclock.
The last but not the least is the ASUS 20th Anniversary Edition Gold Platinum graphics card, which will pretty much be the same as the ROG GTX 980 Ti Matrix but feature a different Gold shroud, and possibly a higher factory-overclock, something that is yet to be confirmed.
It appears that ASUS will have plenty of premium, enthusiast-grade graphics cards ready for retail/e-tail soon and with the recently released GTX 980 Ti Strix, it certainly got our attention.
