While we will soon see both the Radeon R9 Fury X and the R9 Fury graphics cards based on the new AMD Fiji GPU paired up with High Bandwidth Memory, the biggest surprise at AMD's E3 2015 press conference was the Radeon R9 Nano, a 6-inch long compact graphics card based on the same Fiji GPU.
Based on a dual-slot design and packing three Display Port and single HDMI output, the AMD Radeon R9 Nano definitely features a rather interesting design, as AMD not only managed to squeeze in a Fiji GPU on such a short PCB but also double the performance per watt compared to the Radeon R9 290X based on a well known Hawaii GPU.
While we still do not have precise details on the specifications, we do know that it will be based on the Fiji GPU with High Bandwidth Memory and have a 175W TDP, thus needing only a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector, making it great for small form factor gaming PCs where you simply do not have enough room for a large PSU.
Unfortunately, we will see the Radeon R9 Nano later this summer and we still do not have any precise details regarding the price, although we suspect it could launch with the same US $549 price tag as the Radeon R9 Fury, based on Fiji Pro GPU.
