Batman: Arkham Knight and Witcher 3 to get DX12 patch

After Windows 10 OS is released

While Microsoft is expected to officially launch the Windows 10 OS in July, at least according to recent reports, some games will apparently also get patched to support DirectX 12, including Batman: Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

While news comes from MSI and can be seen on various forums, it appears that CD Projekt Red and Rocksteady Studios are already working to patch their games for DirectX 12 support once Microsoft officially launches the Windows 10 OS. While this is still just a rumor, we are quite sure that plenty of other developers will also release patches for their games.

According to a comment posted by MSI at its official website, spotted by Gamepur.com, "The most exciting part of Windows 10 for gamers is the introduction of DirectX 12. You are likely to start seeing the benefits of the new graphics technology already in The Witcher 3, Batman: Arkham Knight and more games released later this year. Some CPU-bound games like MMO's are able get a performance bump of up to 50% according to Microsoft."

In any case, Windows 10 and DirectX 12 will bring plenty of performance improvements for games, at least according to what we had a chance to see so far.
