While most Intel X99 Express chipset motherboards come in ATX or even E-ATX form-factors, ASRock has decided to think out of the box and make an X99 based motherboard that can fit your favorite Haswell-E CPU inside a mini-ITX case, the ASRock X99E-ITX/ac.
ASRock only showed a picture and is keeping most of the details for CeBIT 2015 show where it is expected to officially announced the new X99E-ITX/ac motherboard but so far we know that it will be limited to dual-channel memory due to form-factor, feature single PCI-Express x16 slot and use a more narrow ILM version of the LGA 2011 socket, which will not be compatible with currently available coolers so you will have to use one that ASRock bundles with the motherboard.
The rest of the known features include dual Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports, 802.11ac WiFi, USB 3.1 Type-A ports, ultra M.2 port and probably bunch of other features that ASRock will announce during CeBIT 2015 show.
Unfortunately, we still do not know the price or if dual-channel will have certain restriction on the performance so we will have to wait a bit longer for these but it certainly looks interesting.
