While some of the first devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 are about to hit the worldwide market, Qualcomm has now announced its next bit thing, the Snapdragon 820.
During its press event at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 show which is currently running in Barcelona, the newest Qualcomm's SoC will be based on company's first 64-bit custom CPU, called Kyro. Unfortunately, Qualcomm did not reveal much details about it other than it will be manufactured on FinFET process, so either TSMC's 16nm or Samsung's 14nm one. The new SoC is a part of Qualcomm's new Zeroth platform.
Currently, Qualcomm is pretty quiet regarding any details on the Snapdragon 820, but did note that it should sample in the second half of this year so we are bound to hear more eventually.
