Intel's CEO, Brian Krzanich, has confirmed that Core M processors based on the next-gen architecture will be ready in the second half of this year.
Speaking
during Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference, Intel CEO, Brian Krzanich, confirmed that Skylake based Core M chips will be ready in the second half of this year and enable thinner tablets and longer battery life. While he did not reveal any specific details regarding Skylake-based Core M chips, he did note that these will bring and support Intel's second-gen RealSense technology.
Intel puts a lot of faith in its RealSense technology and we already seen some impressive implementations and features. Unfortunately, Krzanich did not reveal any more details or talk about other chips which should be based on the same architecture, Skylake notebook and desktop chips precisely.
Recent rumors coming from motherboard manufacturers suggest that Intel's Skylake desktop chips might be delayed to late August, although these were originally expected in June.
