EK Water Blocks, a well known manufacturer of premium liquid cooling equipment from Slovenia, has announced its new EK-Supremacy MX water block, a cost-reduced version of the well known EK-Supremacy EVO flagship water block.
The new EK-Supremacy MX water block is designed to lower production cost and still offer premium hydraulic and thermal performance. Available in versions for both AMD and Intel sockets, the new EK-Supremacy MX comes with pre-assembled mounting mechanism which should ensure perfect installation and optimal performance.
The EK-Supremacy MX is based on the same cooling engine as the EK-Supremacy EVO and should offer the same hydraulic performance and almost identical thermal performance at a significantly lower price. It comes with only a slightly simplified copper base, same low hydraulic restriction design and pre-assembled mounting mechanism.
Since it is based on the same cooling engine as the EK-Supremacy EVO, you get a design that accelerates the cooling liquid through jet plate nozzle to numerous thin channels, providing extreme heat dissipating surface area. The copper base itself is made from CNC machined electrolytic copper while top and inserts are made from injection molded (M)ABS polymer and covered by black anodized brushed aluminum aesthetic cover. The translucent top version also comes with two slots for easy installation of 3mm LED diodes.
The pre-assembled mounting mechanism is secured with a circlip and supports Intel LGA-1150/1155/1156 and LGA-2013 sockets in Intel version and AMD 939, 754, 940, F, C32, AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2, and FM2+ sockets in AMD version of the EK-Supremacy MX water block.
As noted, the new EK-Supremacy MX will be available in two different main versions, for Intel and AMD sockets, while both of those versions will be available with standard or Acetal top. The price for both Intel versions is set at €44,95 while both AMD versions sell for €42,95.
