While we are focused on recent memory allocation issues on Nvidia's Geforce GTX 970 graphics card, it appears that AMD Radeon GPUs are experiencing some memory issues in Battlefied 4 when running on Windows 8.1. Luckily, AMD is already working closely with DICE and fix should be coming soon.
While many gamers are still running on Windows 7 OS, it appears that was actually a good choice, at least if you are running an AMD GPU and like to play Battlefield 4, since there are some memory leak issues in Battlefield 4 running on AMD Radeon GPUs under Windows 8.1 OS.
The issue has been confirmed by AMD's Robert Hallock, Head of Global Technical Marketing, and apparently, AMD is working closely with DICE to track down and fix the issue. While the issue is only limited to Windows 8 and Battlefield 4 game, it should not be hard for AMD to fix it with its next beta driver update.
While Battlefield 4 had its share of issues after the launch, it is still one of the most important games that support AMD's Mantle API and we are sure that AMD will do everything to keep it that way and fix any current and future issues, especially ones that are connected to memory leaks.
