Galax launches the GTX 970 Black Edition

Galax has decided that white PCB graphics cards are not the only versions that are looking good and has now decided to come up with the the GTX 970 Black Edition, which features a completely black PCB.

While we are no longer in the Hall Of Fame range of the Galax graphics cards, or on the same model as the first GTX 970 launched by Galax, but rather something completely new, the Galax GTX 970 Black Edition (Gaming OC).

The Galax GTX 970 Black Edition (or Gaming OC) has a shorter PCB, making it 190mm long and features a factory overclocked GM204 chip. The GPU is clocked at 1126 MHz base and 1266 MHz GPU Boost clocks while 4GB of GDDR5 paired up with a 256-bit memory interface remained at reference 7.0 GHz. The entire graphics card is cooled by a dual-slot cooler with two 80mm fans.

The new Galax GTX 970 Black Edition should be available soon from various partners and resellers with a price set at €319,90.
