EK Water Blocks, a well known liquid cooling manufacturer from Slovenia, has now announced its new full cover water block designed and engineered for MSI's Gaming 4G series Geforce GTX 970 graphics card, the EK-FC970 GTX TF5.
The new EK-FC970 GTX TF5 water block is co-developed with MSI' engineering team and since it is based on a full cover design, the block actively cools the GPU, memory as well as the VRM (Voltage Regulation Module) part of the graphics card.
As you could have guessed from the name of the new water block, EK-FC970 GTX TF5, it is designed for the Twin Frozr V version of the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G graphics card and also comes with a EK's unique central inlet split-flow cooling engine, which also works flawlessly with reversed water flow without adversely affecting the cooling performance and can be also used with weaker water pumps.
The base of the new EK-FC970 GTX TF5 is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of either POM Acetal or acrylic, depending on the version. It also comes with pre-installed screw-in brass standoffs.
According to EK Water Blocks, the new EK-FC970 GTX TF5 should already be available, with a price set at €107,95 for both versions, via EK Webshop and its Partner Reseller Network. EK Water Blocks will also offer an aesthetic retention backplate which will also help to cool the memory on the back of the graphics card and will be available in early December in black or nickel versions and priced at €29,95 and €37,95, respectively.
