Minix unveils a miniPC

The Minix Neo Z64

After the recent announcement by Zotac, about the miniPC Zbox Pico, Minix joined this market and presented another little system, the Neo Z64.

We've seen many Android based devices by Minix, but this new miniPC, the Neo Z64, will also be compatible with Windows 8.1 thanks to the Intel Bay Trail architecture.

Inside the little case there's a quad-core 64-bit Z3735F CPU with 2MB of cache, base clock of 1.33Ghz, and Turbo clock of 1.83Ghz. It also features an HD Graphics iGPU, which is enough for Full HD media content. This tiny processor has a 2.2SDP. The system also features 2GB of DDR3L memory, 32GB eMMC storage, 802.11n WiFi module and an infrared sensor with remote control. As far as connectivity is concerned, there are two USB 2.0 ports (no USB 3.0 due to lack of controller), a microSD reader to expand the internal memory, and HDMI 1.4 output, audio jack and the power supply port.

The Neo Z64 will be on the market next with with an MSRP of 129$. With this kind of money you get the system itself with Android Os, and if you want you can install Windows 8.1.
