Google launches Chrome OS version 36

But only for Chromebooks

When it comes to releasing new versions of Chrome OS, Google appears to follow the same interval like with the Chrome browers. With version 36 of their operating system for cheap notebooks not every maker is going be happy.

The new update to version 36 will work with most Chromebooks that have already been sold but it appears that HP Chromebooks will be excluded from this update. This is quite surprising to see and Google doesn't even tell you why they're not pushing the update to HP Chromebooks.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact, that Microsoft starts to compete in that market and the software giants official partner is HP. These days they're selling notebooks for just 150 US-Dollar. This might be something really dislikes and which is reason enough to shut the door on HP.

With the latest updates Chromebooks receive security patches, a few changes on the user interface and the possibility to change the clock without being connected to the internet.
