Kingston announces new SSDNow V310 SSD

In a single 960GB version

Kingston has announced its latest addition to the SSDNow solid state drive lineup, the 960GB SSDNow V310 based on Phison controller.

As noted, the new Kingston SSDNow V310 will be available in a single 2.5-inch 7mm thick form-factor 960GB version and based on a rather unusual Phison 3108 controller. Despite being a part of Kingston's value V-series SSD lineup, the new SSDNow V310 will offer some impressive performance numbers of up to 450MB/s for both read and write and up to 40k/20k IOPS for maximum random 4k read and write performance.

As it was the case with previous Kingston SSDNow solid state drives, the SSDNow V310 960GB will be available in Desktop Upgrade Kit, Notebook Upgrade Kit and Desktop/Notebook Upgrade Kit bundles, offering 2.5-inch USB enclosure, 3.5-inch bracket and mounting screws, HDD cloning software and 7mm to 9.5mm adapter, depending on the bundle.

The Kingston SSDNow V310 960GB SSD is backed by a 3-year warranty and has life expectancy of 1 million hours with Total Bytes Written (TBW) of 2.56 DWPD (Drive Writes Per Day) which is in line with some enterprise-grade SSDs and definitely not expected from a value-class SSD.

Unfortunately, Kingston did not reveal any details regarding the precise availability date or the price of the new Kingston SSDNow V310 960GB solid state drive.
