Crossfire for gaming in 2560x1440 #1
Hi.
Do you guys think it will be a good idea to buy another 280x Toxic to play in 2560x1440 or is it just a waste of time and money? I got a i5 2500K, do you think i can be cpu-limited for that resolution?

Ciao Phil ;D Benvenuto!

Since HT is still not supported in game and you have 2500K, I don't think you will have issues.

280X has a very good price in these days, if you are ok with PSU..why not?

You are @ 4.7GHz right?

Hi and welcome to ocaholic Phil!

I agree with Luca. Today's games, they don't support more than four cores. Additionally, when you're playing at 1440p, the VGA will be the limiting factor and not the CPU.

Ok for PSU but..have you enough space in case? CFx = heat

Then Toxic is 2.2slot, right? Also pci-ex slots are fine?

Now i need only one thing.. money.
Two italian shops have 280x Toxic at 290 euros + 10 euros of shipping, i think it's a good price.

I got an Aerocool Strike X-Air, gift for my birthday, and a AsRock Fatal1ty Z68.
I think i'm ok from that point of view.
