Base Clock: 1'019 MHz
Boost Clock:1'071 MHz

Powered by nVidia's new GK110 B1 rev (GK110-300-B1), a more efficient variant of A1 stepping. This new stepping is said to provide better overclocking potential and, at the same time, lower power consumption (=> resulting in lower temps and noise levels).

The so called 780 GHz Edition isn't an official nVidia SKU, it's an AIC SKU, some are just replacing the current GK110 A1 chip with the B1 rev on their current cards and some are making a new card out of it like GBT here.

GeForce GTX 780's GK110-300-A1 vs GK110-300-B1 Clock per Clock (CPC)

Test Setup: Same as here

Graphics cards used:
Gigabyte GTX 780 OC V2 (GK110-300-A1)
Gigabyte GTX 780 GHz Edition (GK110-300-B1)

Differences and similarities between the two cards:
Same PCB, same power design, same cooler, different BIOS, different memory chips, GHz Edition has a full cover backplate.

The quick test:
Memory frequency unchanged (1502 MHz), GPU clock fixed at 902 MHz/0.987v on both cards.

Power consumption under FurMark of the entire setup:
GK110-300-A1: 282W
GK110-300-B1: 274W

Temperature test under FurMark with fans speed locked at 50% after 20 minutes:
GK110-300-A1: 76°C
GK110-300-B1: 68°C

The new B1 rev is indeed more efficient and cooler.

Very nice, so it's not something about marketing, it's a real improvement...
