Re: S3 Monster ITX Build #73
Thanks!

Just to let everybody know how the delidding went, after running Prime 95 for 6 hours last night, I never broke 60C. Hovered around 56-58C for most of it. That works out to a 15-16C drop in temps. My idle temps dropped considerably as well. With a 24C ambient, I was idling at 26-28 across all the cores.

That's really cool but I mean that is also some serious cooling power you've put in place.

I've seen on facebook, that you're up to something new and I was already curious to see if we will be reading about it here in the forums!
Apparently it looks like we are and that's great! Thanks for taking the time on updating us LRT!

Even though I haven't been around much lately...doesn't mean I don't miss you guys! Of course I'm going to share with one of my favorite places on the interwebs!

Re: S3 Monster ITX Build #78
Sorry for the lack of updates..holidays were incredibly busy...

So I have a new back plate for the S3 and I have to get it ready for installation. The main point to it was that I couldn't fit a 25mm thick fan in the back of the case and I really wanted an exhaust fan that matched the rest of the fans.

First up was to build an uber fancy paint booth...this required 1 cardboard box and a coat hanger...

A little 600 grit sandpaper to give the primer some grab...

Ready for primer

Primered...

Mocked up on the back panel...

To grill or not to grill...that is the question...(the black paint is actually a lot closer than the camera shows...)
