Today finally expire Intel's NDA regarding the new CPUs of Broadwell-E family. Unlike the previous generation, the new family consists of four models: Core i7-6800K, Core i7-6850K, Core i7-6900K and i7-6950X. The first two models offer six cores and twelve threads with 15MB of cache. In addition to the frequency, slightly higher on i7-6850K, the two models also differ about the amount of PCI-Express lanes available. The Core i7-6900K is a processor with eight cores and sixteen threads, 20MB cache and a base frequency of 3.2GHz (3.6GHz Turbo). Like for the i7-6850K, also on this model there are 40 PCI-Express lanes.

The real super-star of the Broadwell-E family is the new Core i7-6950X, a monster CPU with ten cores and twenty threads. This model offers 25MB of cache and a base frequency of 3.0 GHz (Turbo 3.5GHz). The new "little" monster is already sitting on our test setup since few days and during next days you will see our review and few test. On following you can see some pictures of the new CPU sitting on a ASUS Rampage V Extreme motherboard.
