Re: Luca's X99 #21
OCed or not, I want silent always and H100i + 2x 120 Corsair PWM SP120 is the solution I don't like top-down coolers and the space available is not enough for a highend tower cooler. But yes, thanks for the good idea!

Few more pics:

Well I will pickup GPU during weekend and start a fresh Windows installation next week, so there aren't new update. Once Win is ready, I will move all inside the Air 240

Re: Luca's X99 #25
Since this rig is also my daily I'm installing everything with another CPU..basically I have the Gigabyte on my dimas with 2 sticks of DDR4, another 5820K and another GPU. I'm installing everything on the M.2 SSD that is very fast. I hope to finish everything for Sunday and take the final pics.

There is also another big update regarding the GPU..from 780DC2OC to 980 Gaming G1

Soon few pics

I spent the entire morning or so trying to put more fans inside my Corsair but looks like I have to use low profile solutions like Raijintek or Gelid; I don't know if is only my issue or what..basically I have no clearance on the sides of the case. On right I hit the heatsink of the motherboard and on left the USB headers. I have to think a little more about what to do...so meanwhile just few picture of the GPU upgrade

Re: Luca's X99 #28
After the summer I hope to finish this easy rig It's too hot now.

I need 120mm slim fans (PWM of course, I saw something of good from Raijintek) for top and more order inside. Hope to do everything in september..and of course more pics!

Re: Luca's X99 #29
Since I have time and I wanted a complete picture about the 120mm slim fans, I have done some research: first of all I would like to avoid all LED/fancy fans such as Phobya (yes they do a slim line) and Scythe Slip Stream since are too noisy. Also GeIL are too much for my taste since are blue I know that are pretty good since SimpleModz is using them in 250D build, but are not for me. In the end I found: Silverstone, Raijintek, Prolimatek, Deepcool and Akasa.

I don't need a huge amount of airflow, I prefer silence and PWM header. I haven't decided yet but I have done a table that can help also other guys
