Re: [Battle-Box ROG] #3
This one will be less crazy, less rework on the case. But there will be a big job on the watercooling.
The waterblocks are beautiful, it was hard to find waterblocks for Asus Matrix, and luckily Bitspower made them. I had to order directly with Bitspower Taïwan. More than a PC, a Passion

Reading "less crazy" from you ... well

As far as I know, there are also some custom blocks form EK, aren't there?
And yeah, I fully agree, these blocks look insanely good!

Re: [Battle-Box ROG] #5
EK will not make waterblocks for Matrix. Normally, this rig must be full EK (pumps, reservoirs, fittings, rads, wb-cpu). I thought EK will do the waterblocks for the cards, but after asking them, they said "no, no waterblocks for Matrix planned. More than a PC, a Passion

Oh ... pity ... I didn't know that I guess I might want to have a chat with EK as well then ... I would like to know what happened. For the 780 Matrix I've sent them our review sample, so they could do the block. Maybe I'll do the same with the 980 Matrix.

Re: [Battle-Box ROG] #7
We continue with the small DIY.
A bit of cutting, drilling, grind, painting, testing ...

To begin, a picture of one of the two pumps

Now DIY. To remain in the dominant white theme, and to cover the black background of the case, I made a white background which will be under the motherboard

Then some paint work that are ready

Re: [Battle-Box ROG] #9
A few more pictures, with some positioning tests to better estimate the additional changes to make more and make sure that everything "will fit" well.

Placing pumps, the orientation of the tops will be adjusted for connection to tubes.

On the opposite side, some positioning tests.
A support for the bottom reservoir will be done tomorrow.

Re: [Battle-Box ROG] #10
After a delay due to a shortage of parts, I'll be able to make the rigid tubing.
Meanwhile, I continued to work on the case.
To start, I made a support for the bottom reservoir

Then I made a small change in the positioning of the pumps.
With the pumps in the bottom, and power into place, I had no where to pass the tubes.
So I moved the pumps up.

To keep them aligned and stabilized, so I made a "coupling" between the two pumps holders.
