[WORKLOG] MSI GAMING RIG - CalegaR1 #1
"You better watch out
You better not cry
better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town"

Well, despite everything...Santa is coming to town with a little delay, but..hey! we're in Italy, even our DNA is delayed and babies born aged ready to primary school.

Against every hypothesis, my new machine is a full MSI-Gaming RIG. Raise your hands if you are surprised!

When you approach to a new build, you think how to make it easy about mounting..right?

No, wrong.

I'm italian and i claim to be an artist!

Well, i don't know how to play mandolino and i don't know how to cook a pizza and the only "mafia" i can arrange is something regards little discount about hardware components.

I'm really weird, even as italian...

By the way..

Here we are!

Build is based on the last micro-atx proposal from MSI, based on the last Z97 chipset from Intel: the Z97M GAMING

On that board will take place a new i7 devil's canyon 4790k, 16 GB DDR3 Avexir Blitz 1.1 series, a M.2 SSD from Kingston and a Radeon R9 290X GAMING.

Everything will placed inside a wonderful Fractal Arc 2 Mini and fueled by a spectacular PSU from Fractal too, the Newton R3 800w.

Hardware is on the way, hope to have everything at home for the week-end

But, let's start with a little overview of the liquid-custom loop:

The system is made by:
2x120 rad
1x240 slim rad
2 pumps (one inside the reservoir) DDC-type
Various compression fittings (both normal and 90°, still looking if angled are needed)
EKWB Supreme for the CPU
GPU it's a surprise... :p
AOB

So, that's all folks.

For today, at least

See you soon

Awesome post big Maik, I'm very curious to see how you can put all this HW inside your Fractal Back in the days, I remember myself with Phanteks in one hand and Prodigy in the other.. more or less, is the same haha

M.2 SSD very nice! Post some benchmark then!

With all this sweet stuff then you have to do good pics (ndr, not with MotoG )

By the way, i'm curious too...wtf, what was rounding inside m head when i got the crazy idea to build something like that in a freakin' small case?

It's something like trying to throw out a watermelon through a lemon o.0 Team MSI Italy | it.msi.com

When i was younger, i spent few days driving around the artic circle.

When you drive to the artic circle, you can find the house of Santa!

So, here it's the house

Resized Image

I used to be nice to Santa, 'cause today i received a "little" package.

I mean, when you get involved with a nordic superstar like Santa...you get involved with the best nordic products and goods right?

Yes, i'm right.

And i'm right 'cause today i used to become child again when i get shocked by this beautiful piece of hardware!

Guys, i'm very glad to introduce my PSU!
