Would you guys honestly do that? #1
Hi guys.
Here's the thing: i found a guy who sells i7 4770k + Asrock z87 Fatal1ty Killer + 4 gb G.Skill Sniper @1886mhz for only 350 euros.
Now i got a i5 2500k, an Asrock Fatal1ty Pro Gen 3 and 8 gb Low Profile Ares.
Would you honestly buy all that stuff? I could sell his Ram, my CPU and Mobo and probably get a great deal.
What do you think? I need some good advices here.

Well Phil, I have 2500K too and I don't think in any upgrade. The gaming experience is the same in fullHD and I guess even in 2560. 2500K is very good CPU, fast, cool and very easy to overclock.

On other hand, is an old system and will be always more difficult to sell. At the moment a 2500K used costs like 120euro while for the Z68 I have no idea.

You have 780GHz now, have you some issue with 2500K? Or everything goes fast with high FPS?
Do you play or work also?

It's not about performance Luca.
You get the point, it's about the money actually. I'm basically in love with the 2500k, but it will be really hard to sell (in terms of profit) in next couple of years.
This is why i have doubts.

I understand so well your point.
In my case, but is the same situation, I would wait something of really interesting like DDR4 or so and keep your actual rig for other desktops, htpc or whatever you want.

I don't like sell and buy continuously, I mean, works? Yes and also very good. When will be the moment for an upgrade, I will try to sell or keep all stuff for another rig

@Phil
If you're really into hardware, I would make a separate bank account for savings, where you put like 50 to 100 USD per month. Then after 12 to 24 months you have quite some money to spend on great new gear and on top you don't have to worry about selling your "old" hardware, since you already had the money to buy the new stuff. Selling stuff when you have no pressure is always much easier than when you really need money.
