Re: CM Storm Aluminum Gaming Series #11
I'm using now from a couple of hours and I will use also later with some movies.
The sound seems balanced, bass and tremble are in right place and this is good. I have tried some gamer headset and (in my opinion) there are too much bass.
Microphone is acceptable with noise-canceling, not easy to move or hide but is detachable.

The only bad thing (at the moment ) is about the LEDs and USB: the headset has 2x jacks and USB2.0. Well if I plug only USB, I don't hear anything.. in other words, USB is only for LEDs (earpads and mic).

What are other headphones you're comparing this one to?

The thing with the two USB connectors is weird ... or lets say odd ...

The Vulcan Pro I don't like, and the Vulcan ANC is just terrible. I don't know the Razer Kraken Pro. Do you have other headphones and headsets?

Vengeance 2000 (good sound but poor wireless signal, G930 are better) and Logitech G35 (not sure if 35, the previous model )

Ok, when you compare the sound to the Vengeance 2000 and G35, what is your bottom line there?

Vengeance 2000 has very good sound quality in my opinion, specially if we think that are gaming headset, not cheaper but always gaming stuff. V2 has all, heavy bass, good treble and a crystal clear sound. Presets are good and with a incredible clarity.

Logitech something less, but you will still doesn't mix tonality, you can define easly everything. Specially explosions are impressive in Logitech headset.

^ that was my first experience, I have seen HD movies and played at some games for a while (FPS, RTS and Racing)..and I have to say: too many bass. Sometimes are also nice and honestly the 42mm drivers are pretty good but bass is not all.

Re: CM Storm Aluminum Gaming Series #19
What does the bass sound like then? Is it spongy, simply too loud, undefined, boomy, ... ?
Have you been listeing to music with it and if what were the tracks you've been listening to?

Music

Eminem - Recovery
Medina - You and I
Adam Lambert - Whataya Want From Me
Lady Gaga - Lovegame and Pokerface
Various House Mixes
Senteced - Mourn
Apocalyptica - Master of Puppets
Poisonblack - Love Controlled Despair

Movies

The Hunt for Red October
Black Hawk Down
Prometheus
Transformers I
Moon

Games

Battlefield 3
Crysis 3
GRID 2

Bass here is like a "thump-thump-thump-thump-thump", like an hammer. For some way, bass are good..sometimes. But when you try to watch a movie and ruin and mix mids and highs, is not so good.

The mouse is good, should be the top since has the Avago-9800. Perfomance are very good but maybe the wheel in aluminium make the Reaper too unbalanced on the front. The quality of materials is very on high level, that is without any doubt.
