Coin Mining #1
Since we're doing quite some mining here and since the topic is becoming more and more interesting to the public these days, I think it makes sense to have a thread here, where we can discuss Bitcoin/Litecoin/Whatevercoin things.

Das mit Bitcoin kapier ich.
Litecoin ist der kleine Bruder, 4 fach höhere max ausschöpung = 84 Milionen als Bitcoin
Da Speicherintensiver auf GPU und teils auch CPU rentabler.

Vlt. Lass ich meinen Rechner dann mal was Minen.
Bei Bitcoin ist es ja schon lange zu spät, da kamen ja die mit ASIC Miner bliblablo - fakt zuviel des guten - ausgeschöpft - minen kann man vergessen.

Ich denke mal Litecoin ist akt. da wo Bitcoin vor paar Jahren war, und spekuliere darauf das der Litecoin irgenswahn auch ansteigt.
Wahrscheinlich nicht so stark, da es dann die 2te Krypowährung wäre, aber auch. Und sobald das der Fall ist, also das Litecoin ansteigt, wird der Bitcoin massiv ausgebremst.

(Es hat schon seinen Grund weswegen ich auch lieber ne HD7970 anstatt ne GTX780 nehme...)

Wir fragten uns weshalb eines unserer Mining Rigs nicht stabil funktioniert. Irgendwann stellte sich heraus, dass auf der 12V-Leitung kommt mehr Strom kommt. Anschliessend versuchte Chris das Netzteil zu wechseln und entedckte, dass diesen verkohlten Stromstecker. Das Board ist offensichtlich nicht darauf ausgelegt, Leistung für vier Grafikkarten bereit zu stellen.

Aktuell LTC. Wenn die Difficulty noch weiter massiv in die Höhe geht, dann werden wir FTC minen.

Well, these days, you can make money with it, but the problem is, that you need to be mining with really quite a few cards in order to actually make money. Personall I wouldn't see the point in mining with only one card.

Mining BTC with GPUs is completely useless now. Only LTC mining is still worth it.

Atm I'm following FTC quite closely. Today was the first day, where mining FTC would have been more profitable then mining LTC, since difficulty is skyrocketing with LTC these days.
