Re: [Scratch build] "BETA" #1
Hello guys!!!

Bad news time

I had to fix some things in my house and so I couldn't make a lot of progress to the build.

I wanted to finish it this week, because since tomorrow, I'll have to attend compulsory army for 4 months...
I'll surely have a weekend or two off, but I won't advance much in the build.

So I'm really sorry to announce you that the build is suspended until the end of the army (perhaps 1 or 2 small updates will come since then)

Sorry for the trouble guys, I really wanted to finish it this week :sad-smile QAKE - Modding is Art

[Scratch build] "BETA" #5

BUILD EXPLANATION

Modding PCs is a hobby that sucks a lot of money. Being a student, I don't really have a lot of money to spend.
So for this mod, don't expect a lot of overkill components.
One of my friends is working in a waste disposable (Swiss people sort their waste). Electronic waste is growing, also because of the growing number of people that owns electronic stuff.
Anyway, back on the topic! Everyday evening during 2 weeks, I was visiting this electronic waste center, hoping to find some stuff I can further use. My patience was worth the time spender in the waste center! I was able to find more than 150 working electronic pieces, including 4 Eheim 1048 water pumps, a lot of 120 rads, some weird waterblocks (HDD, CPU, RAM, GPU, MB, etc), more than 2 kilo of fittings and 2-3 reservoirs. But most importantly, I found pretty good electronic components that was in perfect shape.

All of this to say one thing: the majority of this build was found in a waste center, so no costs for it!

CURRENT COST OF THE BUILD:

CHF 68.95
USD 72.02
UK 44.81
EUR 57.04

Discovered Means I've discovered it at the Waster center
Owned Means I received it or owned it for a long time
Bought Means I bought it (thanks Captain Obvious...)

PS: Sorry for my english, I speak french and german...

Ah true ... something else I forgot ... I need to put some additive to the water. I'm not really sure, whether I want yellow or orange water and I'm also not sure, if it should be pastel color or not ... Also I don't know if I should be putting in more lighting. Atm I have the feeling, that the lights inside are not bright enough.

Maybe you guys have some thoughts on this

Yellow is the way! Orange wouldn't stick with the build color. Perhaps trying to make your own color with some Mayhems dye will be perfect! (yellow, a bit red and a bit blue, and 1 drop of yellow-green laser)

Oh, and your build looks shiny, so you could also add some Aurora in it, but not too much

Anyway, really clean build! QAKE - Modding is Art

No problem at all!!! I have so many ready-to-start mods... If only I had more money, I would make plenty of originals mods!

This forum is great, and it seems that people here is really nice!

Stay tuned for my next mod, based on an InWin 904 case I'll begin it when my actual PC is sold QAKE - Modding is Art
