New identity for AMD cards

If you have been following the rumour mill you might have heard of this new ASUS sub-brand. According to some people, this sub-brand has been introduced in order to bypass the conditions of the NVIDIA GeForce Partner Program.


Hard to classify

A few months ago Lian Li launched the PC-O12WX, which was a dual-chamber case like the PC-O8 that's been around for quite a while already. Like the previous models, also the new PC-O11 Dynamic comes with an elegant design and the left side panel as well as the front panel are made from tempered glass.


Four models available

During the weekend, AMD has announced four Ryzen processors aimed for mainstream and performance PCs. The lineup includes the Ryzen 7 2700X, Ryzen 7 2700, Ryzen 5 2600X and Ryzen 5 2600. All the four CPUs will be available next April 19. During the next weeks, we will test them as well.


Ryzen 5 2600X spotted too

Videocardz has spotted a couple of overclocking scores published on the CPU-Z database of two upcoming Ryzen 2000 CPU series. Although the frequency is rather high on both CPUs, the scores aren't close enough to the current world record. At the moment the highest clock achieved and verified by HWBot is 5.9GHz on Ryzen 5 1600X from der8auer.


Compatible with AMD Ryzen

Today Thermalright introduces the ARO-M14 CPU cooler that features single fin-stack tower design. According to Thermalright, the ARO-M14 cooler can deliver good performance supporting CPU up to 240W TDP. The cooler comes with one 140mm PWM fan.


Core i7-8086K

According to Baidu, Intel is going to launch another high-end Coffee Lake CPU during next weeks. With the Core i7-8086K, Intel might introduce a special processor for the 40th anniversary of the 8086 processor.


One of them based on mini-ITX size

Following ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI also ASRock has unveiled few models based on AMD X470 chipset. The company has added five models: the X470 Master SLI/ac, the Fatal1ty X470 Gaming K4, the X470 Taichi, the X470 Taichi Ultimate, and the X470 Gaming-ITX/ac.


All based on ATX form factor

A couple of days ago, AMD has unveiled Ryzen 2000 series of CPUs alongside with AMD X470 chipset. There are new boards around with the X470 chipset from every manufacturer, and from MSI as well. On following we will take a look at the Dragon Army's models.


Including a tiny mini-ITX model

Following Gigabyte's announcment, ASUS has unveiled five AMD X470 motherboard too. While four models come with ATX form factor, the last one lose some slots and ports to squeeze into a mini-ITX profile. Like with the previous news, we will do a quick recap.

AMD has pulled the wraps from its second generation of Ryzen processors. This chips are compatible with current AMD AM4 motherboards as well as with the new chipset AMD X470. Every company has unveiled several motherboards, while Gigabyte go to the market with only three models.

The company has added a ridiculously fast DDR4-5000 CL21-26-26-46 memory kit with a total capacity of 16GB (2x8 GB). The Spectrix D41 DDR4-5000MHz 16GB retail kits are aimed at high-end X299 and Z370 motherboards.

A few months ago, ASRock has shown their first batch of socket AM4 motherboards for AMD's upcoming Ryzen processors. Some models have been spotted yesterday and more information on the X470 Fatal1ty Gaming K4 motherboard motherboard has surfaced.


Both with WiFi AC port

According to latest rumors, ASRock might unveil two X470 Taichi motherboards based on the same PCB. The main difference between this two models regards the ethernet LAN chip. While the X470 Taichi should might pack Intel Gigabit chip, the Ultimate version should sport the more expensive Aquantia 10Gb chip. Furthermore the X470 Ultimate comes with several onboard buttons.


With Optane Memory inside

If you have opened Newegg today, you may have noticed some Intel "Core i+" products. This is a not a typo from the e-tailers, Intel has added the Core i5+ 8400, Core i5+ 8500, and Core i7+ 8700 CPUs. These models simply include a 16GB Optane Memory module in the box. With this SSD, you can cache the contents of a hard drive in order to achieve more performance.


Available next week

A few weeks ago, ASRock has finally announced its Phantom Gaming graphics cards lineup. The cards are all based on GPUs from AMD's Radeon RX 500 series. The first two models will become available on April 19th, the same day that AMD will release Zen+ CPUs.

Today Gelid introduces the Tornado CPU cooler that features single fin-stack tower design. According to Gelid, the Tornado cooler can deliver good performance supporting CPU up to 160W TDP. The cooler comes with one 120mm PWM fan but it can accomodate a second fan.

In order to reply to AMD's new Ryzen and Threadripper CPUs, Intel is planning to increase the core count on their next-generation desktop platform. According to the latest rumors, Intel might add a eight core CPU regarding their 9th generation of mainstream desktop CPUs.
