Mit einem neuen Midi-Tower will Chieftec an die Erfolge alter Tage anknüpfen. Das LF-01B trumpft auf den ersten Blick auch mit verheißungsvollen Spezifikationen auf. Da wären u.a. fünf vormontierte Lüfter, Lüftersteuerung, ein I/O-Panel mit USB 3.0 und werkzeuglose Montagemechanismen. Zusätzlich gibt es aber selbst ungewöhnlichere Features wie eine Grafikkartenstütze und ein Hot-Swap-Dock im Deckel. Trotz der Ausstattung fällt der Preis mit rund 74 Euro moderat aus - hat Chieftec also die optimale Balance aus Preis und Leistung erzielt.

Der Gehäusehersteller NZXT ist mittlerweile eine feste Größe auf dem Case-Markt. Bekannt geworden sind die Amerikaner besonders durch das Erfolgsmodell mit der Bezeichnung "Phantom". Auffällig und mit einem etwas gewöhnungsbedürftigen Design sprach man durchaus die Geschmäcker an. Dennoch überwiegte der Wunsch nach etwas konventionellem mit einer klassichen Formgebung. Dem ging der Hersteller mit dem Switch 810 nach - einen Hybrid-Riesen schlechthin: Viel Platz, gute Leistung und ein zurückhaltendes Design sollen jene ansprechen, die mit dem Phantom designtechnisch überfordet waren.
