Im heutigen Review wollen wir euch ein DDR3 Speicherkit aus dem Hause Mushkin vorstellen. Mushkin zählt zu den Pionieren des Ramspeicher Sektors. Die Produktpalette von Mushkin ist zu einer fast unschlagbaren Masse an Speicherkits angewachsen. Wir wollen für euch in diesem Test, dass Mushkin XP3-12800 DDR3 4GB Dualchannel Kit genauer unter die Lupe nehmen und sehen, ob Mushkin auch hier bei diesem Speicherkit den gewohnten Qualitätsstandard halten kann. Today we are taking a look at the our first tri channel ddr 3 kit. Corsair was kind enough to send us a 6Gb kit of their 1600MHz memory. With timings/latency at 7-7-7-20 we are looking at quite decent timings so it is going to be interesting to see what we can do with it when it comes to the overclocking part of this review.

Up on the review block today I’ve got the new HyperX DDR3 ram from Kingston called LoVo. The LoVo names mean low voltage, or lower than we’re already accustomed to for those of us using the Corei5/Corei7 setups. This ram will run at 1866Mhz but it will do this running at only 1.25v, but it’s timings are a bit looser than other kits of the same speed. In my testing though I put the LoVo kit up against another ‘regular’ kit of HyperX that runs tighter timings and found that even though the timings of the LoVo kit were looser the performance was virtually the same.

Ein prominenter Name fehlte damals im Test: Kingston. Neben dem Anspruch regelmäßig aktuelle Speicherkits auf Ihre Alltagstauglichkeit und OC-Fähigkeiten hin zu testen, wollen wir vor allem eine breite Palette an Herstellern abdecken. Heute schließen wir diese Lücke und haben gleich zwei Speicherkits von Kingston getestet, welche beide mit einer Kapazität von 6 Gibibyte und einem Referenztakt von 1.600 MHz daherkommen. Ob es noch mehr Gemeinsamkeiten gibt und wie sich die Kits im Vergleich zu den vorherigen getesteten Riegeln schlagen, erfahrt ihr auf den folgenden Seiten.

This kit easily overclocks to DDR3 1496 speeds without any voltage or timing adjustments. For less than seventy bucks, that’s hard to beat.

Due to Exceleram being quite an unknown brand (especially in the UK) I was quite suprised as to how this set of memory performed in comparison to various other brands with some clear results as one of the better dual channel kits we've had in our office.
