It’s amusing to think that, despite how popular a subject for video games they might be, ‘Ninja’ are rarely shown as stealthy assassins. Games like Ninja Gaiden or the upcoming Metal Gear Revengeance tend to favor ‘over the top’ action instead of careful sneaking through the shadows. The Tenchu series was probably the last franchise I can think of that tried to focus on ninja being assassins. Fear not! Enter Klei Entertainment’s Mark of the Ninja.

It's starting to look not so good for AMD. Aside from a few completely multi-threaded benchmarks, the new Core i3s with two cores are faster than the AMD A8s with four cores. It's no wonder AMD found itself forced to lower it prices again recently. The most high-end AMD Llano processor, the A8 3870K, is still cheaper than the Core i3s tested here. An AMD A6 processor you can buy for half the price of an i3.

You always need to be at least a little suspicious when a company shows you a set of comparative benchmarks. But, as they say, forwarned is forarmed. AMD had a number of systems on show in London yesterday and world famous overclocking expert (and now AMD PR expert) Sami Makinen on hand to show some of the cooler features.

In May AMD introduced its latest generation APUs codenamed Trinity for laptops, and on Monday, October 1 the desktop versions will arrive. The full review has to wait until then, following AMD's non-disclosure agreement, but today we are allowed to write about the hardware behind the new CPUs, the model numbers and - most importantly - the gaming benchmarks.

Description
Less than two days ago, Benchmark Reviews received the latest and greatest APUs from AMD; the A10-5800K and the A8-5600K. They don't launch in the retail market for a couple of weeks, but we are bringing you the low down in a special preview of the newest Accelerated Processing Units about to become available. The Second Generation APUs follow along the same lines as last year's APU releases by AMD with some notable upgrades in both CPU and GPU performance. The new "Trinity" series of APUs also comes with a new chipset and socket that are surprisingly not backwards compatible with the first generation "Llano" series of APUs.

Every other review site today will be harping on, and rightfully so. about how AMD's Trinity Radeon cores crushes the competition's HD2500/4000 in gaming graphics performance at a budget Core i3-ish price point. We at VR-Zone reckon that the average Trinity A-series APU buyer probably still has some aspirations in life, and a desire to play games smoothly on their Full HD displays. So what happens when we throw in a mid-range discrete GPU like the US$240 HD7870 (Pitcairn) into the mix? Will we see crippling CPU bottlenecks?
