Conclusion

General   + -
Out of all the NVIDIA GTX 570 graphics cards the ASUS GTX 570 DirectCU II surely belongs to the best. The high build quality as well as the factory overclocking was able to convince us. ASUS custom DirectCU II cooler also copes very well with the dissipation power the card generates. Generally for the price one has to pay you really get a very good GTX 570.   - 2D/3D silent

Performance   + -
This card is able to outperform a Radeon HD 6970 with almost no problems at all. In most of all benchmarks the GTX 570 DirectCU II leave the competition from AMD behind. Furthermore this card is shipped with a 10 MHz factory overclocking.    - Factory overclocking - Performance in general

Overclocking   + -
Using the the bundled software ASUS SmartDoctor which is able to manipulate voltages via a chip on the PCB it was possible to reach a GPU frequency of 939 MHz. Of course also the triple slot DirectCU II cooler had an impact on the overclocking.   - Overclocking GPU 939 MHz / Mem 4'056 MHz
- Voltage regulation chip

Recommendation   + -
If your planning to enter NVIDIAs high-end graphics card league then the ASUS GTX 570 DirectCU II will be a very good choice. Especially this cards cooler - if you have enough space in your gaming rig - will be able to convince.   - High-End Gaming

The ASUS GTX 570 DirectCU II can be bought at Digitec for CHF 425.- (est. EUR 303.-).
