ASUS iTracker

The ASUS iTracker software enables a full control over the cards GPU and memory clocks as well as the possibility to regulate the fan speed. After taking a closer look we found five different presets: Optimized, Gamer, Default, Power Saving and User Defined (three own settings can be saved). After extensive testing of all the profiles the “Optimized” profile fitted our needs best. Therefore if you use the card in 2D mode the clock is being reduced that the 4870 board is driven passively. If you now start a game the clocks go up to the usual 800 MHz GPU and 1900 MHz memory that you have the performance you need. Furthermore iTracker provides you with real-time information about temperature and it also warns of overheating.
