Technical data / specifications

According to the raw technical data, regarding our comparison tables below, the MSI R5870 Lightning comes almost standard. Only the GPU and memory clocks have been increased by 50 MHz. With the Lightning MSI focussed on the electrical parts which have been put onto the ten layer PCB. As a result MSI claims that the card has unique overclocking capabilities. All the additional parts needed more space which is the reason that this card is about two centimeters higher than the reference design.
